Blackburn International is seeking an experienced casting professional to help identify exceptional talent for our cruise and production portfolio.

Our reputation is built on high standards, long-term industry relationships and a relentless focus on quality. We’re looking for someone who understands what “great” truly looks like.

You will work closely with our Head of Production, Creative Director & Managing Director, helping to source performers who meet the Blackburn standard.

This role can be structured full-time or part-time depending on the right individual.

The Role

  • Proactively source high-calibre performers for cruise and production work
  • Build and maintain strong talent pipelines
  • Support and shape the casting process from discovery through to recommendation
  • Attend auditions, showcases and industry events
  • Actively network with agents, musical theatre colleges and drama schools to identify and develop emerging talent
  • Contribute to the evolution of casting within the business

Initially, the focus will be on talent discovery and integration into our processes, allowing time to fully understand how Blackburn has built its reputation and to learn how we choose our performers.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in cruise entertainment, theatre, live production or professional casting
  • Strong instinct for performance quality and talent potential
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Professional judgement and discretion
  • Confident and proficient with digital workflows and day to day technology
  • Strong knowledge of Airtable, with the ability to manage and maintain casting databases to a high standard

Practical Requirements

  • Must drive and have access to a car
  • Must be able to commute to our office in Camberley, Surrey
  • Ideally London-based

Contract & Salary

  • Full-time or part-time depending on the candidate
  • Hybrid working considered, with office presence required
  • Salary: very competitive and dependent on experience
