About
Virginia Jacobs is a Wine Educator and Gastronomy and Destination Presenter.
Following a long career in the Hospitality and Tourism sectors, her love of wine led to her completing a Masters of Viticulture and Wine Technology. Her knowledge of gastronomy, wine and drinks allows her presentations to entertain, inspire and educate, whilst being relevant to the destinations visited.
Her hospitality experience as a restaurateur and lecturing provides a broad knowledge of food from many different cultures and destinations and beverage production and styles other than wine, such as whiskies, other spirits, liqueurs, beers, tea, coffee and non-alcoholic drinks.
As an experienced educator and presenter Virginia’s style is easily matched to any audience or topic within her field.
Being invited to present at Taste of Australia in Vietnam highlighted her ability to match food and wine with Asian cuisine.
Virginia has also served as Board member of Goulburn River Valley Tourism, in Victoria Australia and has a good understanding of the visitor experience and destination information that guests would find interesting.
This background allows Virginia to present talks on wine, food, culture and destinations or a combination of two or more of these aspects.
