About
Vicky was born into a life of music. She is the daughter of Australia’s rock ‘n’ roll King, Johnny O’Keefe – The Wild One and has always been surrounded by rock ‘n’ roll. Vicky was raised on a diet of Bill Haley, Carole King, Elton John, and Janis Joplin. After studying piano, singing, and guitar from an early age, Vicky took to the road with her band and has performed ever since. Vicky’s first national tour in Australia was with the late, great Rick Nelson (Garden Party), followed by rock icon Suzi Quatro (Devil Gate Drive) and legendary America (Horse with No Name).
Vicky has music and performing in her blood and connects with her audience on a very personal level. Like Natalie & Nat King Cole, Vicky presents a moving duet of, I’m Counting on You with her father on the big screen. A prolific songwriter, Vicky teamed up with her brother to write ‘Keep the Candle Burning’ in memory of their late father. Audiences love this song and can relate to it in their own way often bringing them to tears emotionally. It’s an emotional roller–coaster together with foot–stomping, crowd–engaging numbers like ‘Shout!’ and ‘Bobby McGee’. With a distinct soulful voice, and a performance full of energy and emotion, Vicky always delivers and gives her all. A show of rock ‘n’ roll and soul– a unique experience not to be missed.
