Vocalist Tara Lynne Khaler has been heard in venues across the world performing a variety of musical styles. Originally from Dallas, Texas, Tara has been a respected member of the New York City music world for almost twenty years, with performances at Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, Symphony Space, City Center, and on and off Broadway.
Originally trained in musical theater, Tara has found her niche in being able to accommodate diverse performing situations. She has sung light opera with New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players and has starred in musicals such as Aida, Camelot, Jekyll & Hyde and Singing’ In The Rain. As a jazz artist, Tara toured the U.S. on multiple occasions as lead vocalist with the In the Mood swing orchestra.
As a cabaret artist, Tara has sang on all seven continents, performing as a guest entertainer on the world’s best cruise lines. She has backed up a number of well-known vocalists, including Wayne Newton, and currently tours with The Queen’s Cartoonists – a jazz band dedicated to the preservation and performance of music from classic cartoons.
Tara’s first album, Since I Fell for You, was released in 2013, and features a mix of jazz, blues, and selections from the American songbook.
