About
Sue was born in Asia, lives in Europe, worked in Africa, travelled in America and has a son based in Australia, so travel is in her genes. She loves speaking on cruises, inspiring guests to discover the history, heritage, culture and cuisine of the destinations they visit, encouraging them to explore each port with curiosity and confidence.
Sue studied Classics at Newnham College, Cambridge, where she was two years below Mary Beard, but unlike Mary she didn’t make a career of it! After a further year studying History of Art, she taught English as a Foreign Language in both Italy and France before returning to the UK.
She is an Anglican lay minister, married with three sons and two granddaughters. She lives in Oxfordshire, loves walking, gardening, skiing, travel, good food and wine.
