Samantha is an Australian singer, actor and pianist, with a diverse career that has spanned more than 20 years.
As a jazz and soul vocalist, Samantha has worked with many of Australia’s finest musicians in line ups including Grand Wazoo, B Sharp Big Band, Daryl McKenzie Orchestra, John Montesante Quintet, as well as her own jazz ensembles. She appeared as the support act to Barry White in his final Australian Concert Tour with the acclaimed vocal trio, ‘Vocal Point’, in which she was a long standing member.
As an actress, Samantha has appeared extensively both on screen and stage. For television, guest roles include Offspring, Dr Blake Mysteries, House Husbands, and for film, ‘Now Add Honey’, ‘The Three Ages of Sasha’, ‘The Pinion’, ‘Stanley’ and ‘The Decomissioning’. Samantha has many credits in Music Theatre, including ‘Cats’, ‘Chess’, ‘Fiddler On the Roof’, ’South Pacific’ ‘The Sound Of Music’, ‘The Boy From Oz’ and ‘Billy Elliot’, in which she played the role of Billy’s mother. In 2012, Samantha recorded her first jazz CD, titled ‘The Nearness Of You’ at ABC Studios which is available through Newmarket Records.
