Since leaving a career in law for comedy, Michael Shafar has been working hard to win his Jewish mother’s forgiveness, and has (somewhat) achieved that, having performed around Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the US and on international waters.
He has made multiple appearances on Network 10’s The Project and Studio 10, ABC’s Comedy Bites, triple j’s Good Az Friday, SBS’s RAW Comedy and has racked up 70+ million views of his comedy videos online. He also has a comedy special A(LIVE) available on Amazon Prime and a second special Alright, Next Joke on YouTube.
He’s toured five shows around Australia to all the major festivals, selling out his seasons at Fringe World in Perth, the Adelaide Fringe Festival, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, as well as the Sydney and Brisbane comedy festivals.
