About
Joseph Anthony's journey into comedy began early, using the trait he learned from his family of sarcastic wit to navigate tough times. He also found joy escaping into variety TV programs, such as The Carol Burnett Show, or listening to comedians like Pat Cooper, on vinyl. A snippet of career highlights includes being a finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and a guest on ABC’s The View. He's headlined top venues, such as: Borgata Hotel Casino in Atlantic City, NJ, The Wilbur theatre, Boston, MA, Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, MI, and the Comedy Cabana in Myrtle Beach, SC, just to name a few. His acclaimed one-man show, Joseph Anthony Speaks the Truth, was a hit at the Algonquin Arts Theatre in New Jersey.
Despite his classic New York accent and proud Italian American roots, Joseph eclipses the stereotype of an "Italian comic." He's been called, “a modern-day Lenny Bruce” and is praised for his improvisational skills, making every show unique.
Though focused on quality live performances, and not competitions, Joseph has won several, including the Carnival Cruise Lines Comedy Challenge and Howard Stern's Kill or Be Killed. Starting work at age eleven instilled in him a strong commitment to producing great work!
