About
Jordan Alyssa is a lifelong performer from Atlanta, GA. Her mother often says her journey with music began in the womb as she was belting Whitney Houston songs by the age of 3.
She began training at DeKalb School of the Arts and with the Freddie Hendricks Youth Ensemble of Atlanta; and went on to receive her BA in Theatre & Vocal Music Performance from Spelman College. Jordan spent the next 10 years performing on various stages around the world including major cruise lines like Carnival and Celebrity.
Some of her most memorable performance experiences include background vocals for artist Janelle Monae; principal vocalist, “Princess Kibibi”, in the Festival of the Lion King Show at Walt Disney World’s Animal Kingdom where she became a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association; lead vocalist in The Dreamgirls Show at the Shilla at Jeju in S. Korea; and touring with The Mighty Midnight Revival & Grammy Award winning artist, Killer Mike.
Jordan showcases her powerhouse vocals and dynamic range in her show’s A Celebration of Divas and RESPECT: A Tribute to Aretha Franklin as she highlights legendary artists such as Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Patti Labelle, and Tina Turner.
An independent artist and songwriter, Jordan Alyssa, released her 1st single, Champion, on all streaming platforms last summer (2023). Champion is a mid-tempo invitation for love, cloaked in warm vocals with a contemporary r&b feel. Jordan's original music immerses listeners into her dream world. Her songs are honest and romantic, often exploring themes of love, heartbreak, and self-discovery drawn from her own life. Produced by Dainavon Tuzo, Champion, is a flirty introduction to the artist and songwriter’s fantastical mind.
