John Moloney is a multi-award-winning English comedian of Irish descent, as has been performing for over 25 years. He has entertained audiences across the globe with his crafted, intelligent, and original routines.
John is best known for his appearances on the BBC’s ‘The Stand-Up Show’ and was included in Channel 4’s ‘World’s One Hundred Greatest Stand-Ups’. He has also recorded 5 series of ‘The John Moloney Show’ for BBC Radio 4, which was featured on ‘Pick of the Week’ and ‘Pick of the Year’ - Radio 4’s flagship entertainment shows.
John was delighted to be nominated as ‘Best Live Stand-Up’ at the British Comedy Awards but was even happier to be the winner of ‘Outstanding Contribution to UK Comedy’. Not a bad result for an ex-schoolteacher!
John epitomises dry, dispassionate, deliciously dead-pan delivery, and is a master of the craft of storytelling. He is affectionately known as ‘The Godfather of British Comedy’ by his fans. He has headlined at all the major comedy clubs in the UK and around the world, including for over 20 years at the world-famous Comedy Store.
