About
Jacob Marvin is an English Language teacher based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He holds a 2:1 honours degree in Archaeology from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne. He was Vice President of the university's archaeology society and successfully secured funding for a research project in East Africa. His work on East African coastal archaeology was selected for a public presentation, one of only three chosen from over a hundred projects.
In the UK, he led excursions around historic towns like Oxford, London, and Portsmouth, as well as showing students around numerous famous museums.
After graduating, Jacob pursued my passion for teaching English as a Second Language, allowing him to explore South America. Inspired by his interest in South American history and archaeology, he's been living in Buenos Aires for the past two years, becoming fluent in Spanish and immersing himself in Argentine culture. He has also learned to play the traditional Andean instrument, the charango, and embraced the ritual of drinking Yerba Mate.
