About

Gabriel Rossi began his career as a standup comedian on June 30, 1996. After a few years learning his craft around the Melbourne pub/club comedy scene, he began to travel extensively around Australia visiting all the major capitals as well as rural areas doing comedy in front of a large variety of Australian audiences.

In the late 90’s Gabriel introduced a musical element to his repertoire and has since become one of Australia’s best song parodists. Whilst Gabriel has always been able to perform in front of a wide array of audiences, having an Italian heritage did enable Gabriel to carve out a niche in the ethnic comedy genre and performs regularly with many great ethnicAustralian artists such as Tahir (Fat Pizza/Here Come the Habibs) and George Kapiniaris (Acropolis Now/Wogs Out of Work) as well as many others in various ethnically themed comedy spectaculars.

Gabriel also worked with worldrenowned ItalianAustralian comedy sensation Joe Avati, providing a support act on his Australian and UK tours from 2000 right through to 2015. Gabriel and Joe remain
great friends and still work together on occasion.

Gabriel Rossi is a resident comedians at the Comic’s Lounge in North Melbourne. He can be seen performing there most weeks, and every December since 2001, the year The Comic’s Lounge opened, Gabriel hosts the annual “Very Woggy Christmas” comedy gala featuring an array of ethnic comedians from all over the country and abroad. It’s an event patrons of The Comic’s Lounge look forward to each year.

Gabriel Rossi performs comedy at corporate level, sporting functions, and in recent times has turned his hand to working as a Master of Ceremonies for events such as weddings, corporate presentations and festivals. You can guarantee an event hosted by Gabriel will be loaded with laughs.
