About
Irish classical crossover artist Emer Barry is known for her distinctive, haunting soprano voice - a classical voice with a Celtic soul. Equally at home in opera, Celtic music and musical theatre, she has built an international career performing throughout Ireland and the United States, bringing together classical artistry with Ireland's rich musical heritage.
Emer has performed with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, appeared as guest soloist on RTÉ Lyric FM and performed alongside acclaimed opera star Celine Byrne and the National Symphony Orchestra on RTÉ One, Ireland's national television broadcaster. She has headlined concerts at the National Concert Hall and has portrayed Audrey Hepburn in the acclaimed sold-out production celebrating the Hollywood icon's life and in 2026 was shortlisted in the Vocal category at the International Music Awards.
She continues to create original concert experiences that celebrate Ireland's rich musical heritage alongside beloved classical, sacred and crossover repertoire, while also performing as a headline guest artist aboard luxury cruise ships. Known for performances that are as entertaining as they are moving, Emer combines elegant musicianship with engaging storytelling, memorable characters and a distinctly Irish wit. Whether performing an intimate Irish air, an operative aria work or bringing Irelands many lively characters to life, she creates concerts that are warm, uplifting and deeply personal - leaving audiences with a genuine sense of connection long after the final note.
