Debora Krizak is an award-winning entertainer from Sydney, Australia, and is currently starring alongside Anthony Warlow in “Annie” the musical, playing the iconic “Miss Hannigan”. Celebrated for being one of Australia’s most critically acclaimed leading ladies, her past professional credits include Mel Brooks’ “The Producers”, “Titanic – a new musical”, “Billy Elliot”, “Mamma Mia”, “Cabaret”, “We Will Rock You”, “A Chorus Line” and “Sweet Charity”.
Debora's most notable credits include playing the role of Sheila in the Helpmann Award winning Musical – “A Chorus Line” where she was nominated for numerous awards including a Helpmann for Best Supporting Actress, Sydney Theatre critics award and Glug Award as well as winning Theatre People’s most popular actress in a musical.
Debora has also toured the country in “Sweet Charity” playing the dual roles of Nickie and Ursula, at the Sydney Opera House - earning her another Helpmann nomination as well as winning the Sydney Theatre Critics Award for best supporting actress in a musical. She also won the CONDA award for best guest artist for her role as ‘Mrs Wilkinson’ in “Billy Elliot” the musical in 2024.
Further to this, Debora starred in Opera Australia's production of the Cole Porter Musical “Anything Goes” playing the role of ‘Erma’ (winner GLUG award) and later starred in “Jerry’s Girls”, as one of Australia's most celebrated leading ladies. Continuing her relationship with Opera Australia, Debora starred as the wicked stepmother in XRoads Live/Opera Australia’s production of “Cinderella”, followed by a season of the pantomime “Snow White” for Bonnie Lythgoe and her UK panto team.
Debora's corporate and concert performances include the Paralympic Games, Lead vocalist for Adelaide Symphony Orchestra's James Bond concert series, the national anthem for the Ashes Cricket test series and a featured performer at Cabaret Festivals across the country. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Performing Arts and has just been nominated for an Arts and Cultural award for her work in the performing arts for Time Out Magazine 2025.
