Darren’s career has spannedover three decades.
Bob Monkhouse was the first to introduce Darren on TV..as a vocal impressionist on his show in 1988. His ‘big break’ came in 1993 when he landed the role of Joseph in Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoatat the London Palladium. He went on to play Joseph numerous times.. both in London's West End and World Tours.
His other West End Musical appearances include Danny and Teen Angel in Grease, Frank in the Rocky Horror Show, Billy Bigelow in Carousel, Billy Flynn in Chicago, The Reverend in Footloose, Loco Chanel in Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Tony in Barry Manilow’s Copacabana, The Phantom in Phantom Of The Opera and Valjean in Les Miserables to name but a few.
Darren had his own Saturday Night Show.. which ran for seven years. His other TV credits include playing Danny Houston in Hollyoaks for a year, Will Morganwith Ruth Jones in Stella, The Bill, Holby City, playing Jude Law in one of French &Saunders’ iconic film spoofsand many more.
Darren was in the first ever series of I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here in 2002 and was a finalist in the 2016 season of Celebrity Big Brother, which pulled in the biggest viewing figures ever.
Darren had a record deal with RCA where his manger was Simon Cowell. They had 3 top twenty singles and 2 top ten selling albums.
Darren can be seen in five Prime Video movies.. one of which he recently won Best Screen Actor for.
He holds the all time box office record at 3 theatres for UK tours.. and 2 theatres inthe West End.
