London born Anil Desai’s awe-inspiring and record-breaking ‘52 impressions in 5 minutes’ routine led to him becoming one of the best impressionist comedians performing on the international circuit. A seasoned pro, and veteran of the Edinburgh Fringe, he has played on many of the world’s best stages from The Comedy Store, The World Famous Spiegel Tent, The Wellington Opera House and Her Majesty’s Theatre, London, and, in recent years at the Melbourne, Sydney, & New Zealand International Comedy Festivals, performing to sell out houses.
Along the way this international man of mimicry has brought laughter to over 25 countries in Europe, Australasia, Africa, Asia and with Carnival Cruises in The South Pacific
Award winning Anil’s unique style of feel good, energetic, stand-up comedy draws on his real life experiences and observations, fusing his sets with a who’s who of amazing impressions as he transforms himself into our favourite celebrities with dynamic speed and lovable charm, to create hilariously entertaining results.
Alongside all the comedy adventures, Anil has worked as a professional actor for over 20 years in British Film, Television, Radio and Theatre. He created his own series How to Impersonate for BBC Comedy Extra and has numerous Television & Radio credits for BBC, CBBC, CH4, ITV, CH9, STV, TVNZ, CH10
