About

Andy Hackbarth is an award-winning vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and comedian from Colorado. He is an acclaimed classical guitarist (International Acoustic Music Awards, NFAA, Neale Silva, MTNA, etc.) and songwriter (Billboard, International Songwriting Competition, Americana Awards, etc.) with six full-length studio albums to his name.

Andy’s roots in folk and bluegrass music quickly took a back seat when he discovered the classical guitar at age 11. He was instantly drawn to the music of Spain and South America, as well as the life and music of the great Andres Segovia, which continues to be the foundation for much of his concert repertoire.

During his time at the Aspen Music School, Lawrence Conservatory of Music, and the University of Colorado at Boulder, the Colorado native studied with some the world’s most highly-respected musicians, including John Williams, Christopher Parkening, Elliot Fisk, Ricardo Iznaola and Julliard’s Sharon Isbin and Kevin Gallagher. Andy holds a long and impressive international touring history, both as a classical guitar soloist and as a singer/songwriter performing original material, often with his band. Andy honed his chops as a comedian while working on hips as a piano bar entertainer before moving into his current role as a headliner. After many years living in Nashville, TN, Andy returned to his home state of Colorado in 2019 after purchasing the historic (1910) Saguache Hotel. He and his father are working on the hotel renovation together, which will also include two live music venues, where Andy will perform between tours and cruise ship engagements!
