A magical evening of Music ” with instrumentalist Andrew Skrimshire

Andrew Skrimshire began his distinguished career by winning a scholarship to the Purcell School of Music. At just sixteen he made his solo debut at the South Bank in London. He went on to perform regularly at all of London’s most prestigious venues, including Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the Royal Festival Hall.

Andrew won a scholarship to continue his studies at the world famous Royal College of Music in London. Here, he won numerous awards including the Ivor James, Helen Just, Lesley Alexander and Susan Connell prizes. He also won the coveted Withers Bow Prize for the most outstanding String player.

He has performed all over the world throughout his busy career and notably has played for the Queen, Prince Charles, the late Princess Margaret and the late Princess Diana.

Andrew has featured on many TV and Radio programmes. He has recorded for BBC Radio 2 and 3, RTE, Classic FM and made a considerable number of broadcasts for stations throughout the world.
