Andrew has been involved with professional tennis for over 40 years as player, coach and official. As a player he competed at all the Grand Slams as well as with the British Davis Cup team. As a coach he was with the British team at Seoul and Barcelona. Finally, he officiated worldwide at Grand Slams, Davis and Fed Cup ties internationally before retiring after 14 years as The Championships Referee at Wimbledon. In this role he was responsible for running the world’s most recognised tennis event, loved by millions of fans.
His presentations, and his book “Championship Points”, give real insight into the life of those working within the tennis industry. Decades of close contact with all the major stars from McEnroe to Federer, Navratilova to the Williams sisters, and all the characters in between, mean that Andrew has many stories to tell. Delivered with his self-deprecating humour he both entertains and informs those wishing to learn what it’s really like for those involved in putting on the show that is professional tennis.
