About

Award winning actress and singer Amanda Harrison is one of Australia’s leading ladies of Musical Theatre. She rose to fame playing the iconic role of Elphaba in Australia’s original production of Wicked. ‘Amanda Harrison on the High C’s’ is a candid evening of song with one of Australia’s most prolific musical theatre stars.

Amanda has graced some of the world’s most famous stages, from London’s Dominion Theatre, to Carnegie Hall in New York and Australia’s iconic Sydney Opera House. Her career spans over 25 years, working with the likes of Hugh Jackman, Michael Ball, Lea Salonga and Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor.

Amanda is most well-known for originating the role of Elphaba in the Australian production of Wicked. Other theatrical credits in Australia include Aspects of Love, Sunset Boulevard, Les Misérables, The Boy from Oz, Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma, We Will Rock You (2004 Helpmann Award), Miss Saigon, Anything Goes and The Rocky Horror Show. On London’s West End, Amanda was an original cast member of We Will Rock You (Dominion Theatre) and also played Ali in Mamma Mia at the Prince Edward Theatre.

Amanda is a talented voice over artist, lending her voice to animations and advertising campaigns alike. In concert Amanda has performed with leading orchestras such as the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Amanda can be heard on the recordings I Dreamed a Dream – Hit Songs from Broadway and on Witches, through ABC Classics.
